INSIDE THE SIMON FAMILY ESTATE
Bren Simon, widow of the late real estate developer Melvin Simon, donated their Asherwood estate to the Great American Songbook Foundation in 2018. My station was invited to get a sneak peek at the millions of dollars worth of art, furniture and fixtures inside the palatial 50,000-square-foot mansion before they hit the auction block benefiting the foundation.

Better known for their work in suburban sprawl, M/I Homes' new 60-80 home development sits on the grounds of the former Central State Hospital for the Insane, which served central Indiana's mentally ill for nearly 150 years.
